Texas nurse is arrested ‘for having sex with a Great Dane’

A nurse and her husband are facing charges related to sex crimes following the alleged discovery of child pornography and a video purportedly showing her engaging in sexual acts with the family dog.

Joely Keen, 53, and her husband William Mitchell Keen, 52, were apprehended on March 27 after authorities purportedly found numerous disturbing images and videos on Mitchell’s phone.

Among the alleged contents was at least one video allegedly depicting Joely involved in ‘multiple sex acts’ with the couple’s Great Dane, a breed known as one of the largest dogs in the world.

The discovery of this video reportedly came after Mitchell’s phone was seized following his arrest on March 13 for indecent exposure. The father of two was allegedly caught masturbating while following children around a H-E-B supermarket in Spring, located just outside Houston. Subsequent investigation led to additional charges of indecency with a child by exposure, as well as the discovery of the incriminating videos.

Following a raid on the couple’s home by heavily armed law enforcement officers, Joely and Mitchell were taken into custody, while their two children, aged 18 and 10, and three dogs were removed from the premises.

Montgomery County Constables Lieutenant Ken Washington expressed concern about the potential environment the children may have been exposed to, given the nature of the charges against their parents.

Mitchell, a former US Navy sailor, and Joely, a family nurse at Total Men’s Primary Care, were both charged accordingly, with Joely facing bestiality charges and Mitchell charged with possessing fewer than 100 images of child pornography, classified as a third-degree felony.

Both individuals were released on bail, with Joely’s set at $5,000 and Mitchell’s at $50,000. However, they returned to their home for several days following their release. A truck with a ‘Wildlife Rescue and Relocation’ sticker was observed parked in their driveway during this time.

Neighbors, who noted the couple’s affinity with animals, expressed shock at the allegations, with one remarking that Mitchell was humorously dubbed ‘Pet Detective.’

The couple’s two children were placed in the care of relatives amid the ongoing investigation.

Lieutenant Washington underscored the gravity of the situation, emphasizing the concerning nature of the alleged crimes and the involvement of an animal in the illicit activities.
