Hillary Clinton ambushed by student protesters at her own alma mater

Hillary Clinton faced student protests during her visit to her alma mater, Wellesley College, on Saturday, where she was scheduled to receive an honor of having a college building named after her.

Protesters lined up to confront attendees of a women-led democracy summit also featuring Clinton. Reports from local news outlets indicate that angry students circulated pamphlets around campus labeling Clinton as Wellesley’s “most beloved war criminal” and accusing her of having “blood on her hands.”

Although school administrators acknowledged the protest, they refrained from condemning it outright. Vice President and Dean of Students Sheilah Shaw Horton issued a statement urging activists to adhere to the demonstration policy and abide by the Code of Student Conduct to ensure their safety and that of the community.

Clinton is no stranger to facing protests during her visits to American universities. In February, protesters repeatedly interrupted her appearance at Columbia University, branding her as a “war criminal.”

The recent protest at Wellesley occurred just days after Clinton made remarks on the “Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon, where she criticized U.S. voters for being upset that former President Trump and President Biden were the only two choices.

In response to Fallon’s question about upset voters, Clinton advised them to “get over yourself” and emphasized the importance of the election. She contrasted Biden’s qualities of being “old, effective, compassionate, and caring about people” with Trump, whom she characterized as “old and charged with 91 felonies.” Clinton stressed the critical nature of the election, urging people to pay attention to the stakes and the vision for the country outlined by Trump and his allies.
